Rule#4: Open network configuration.
- Operational network configuration for each site must be visible to all network users.
- Every network node has parameters which control how traffic is sent into the network, and also determines how the routing tables are managed.
Those parameters are secured against changes by unauthorized people.
However, those parameters should be set in a way that is compatible and fair with respect to the other network participants.
In order to verify that the sites are configured appropriately, the other participants will be able to verify each site's particulars.
