MOM node - north-west Raleigh

This node is located at a relative of Tim KD4MBC near Lake Lynn in northwest Raleigh.

The node was installed to provide a path between TADD in north Raleigh and TIM in east Raleigh. The direct path between those two stations was blocked by the ridge along 6-Forks-Road. Shortly after the node was made to work properly, Tim, KD4MBC, moved to south of Clayton NC. This node is waiting for a new destiny and the 2m radio formerly used to link to TIM has been fallow ever since Tim and family moved to Clayton.

Antennas are at about 20' and there is small vertical separation between the 11 el yagi and the X300 omni.

As of September 2014, the yagi is no longer connected to a radio. We pulled the radio due to apparent bad performance. For a short while that radio was used to link to STAN, in north Raleigh.
